Former Arsenal midfielder and Olympic Lyon Kim Shelstrom said he plans to put an end to his football career in almost two decades. `I feel like I`m ready and I`ve done what I can achieve on the pitch, ` said a 35-year-old footballer at a press conference in Stockholm. `I love playing weekend games, but I have to be able to train during the week, and I feel I miss the energy there, ` Shelstrom added.

Known for his powerful and precise left foot, Shelstrom returned to Jurgord in February after a 14-year trip abroad, where he played for Wen and Lyon in France, Spartak Moscow and Swiss Grashoppers. He won the French Cup and the League Cup with Lyon and added the English FA Cup in 2014 during his stay in Arsenal. Shelstrom has 131 matches analyzed by dropping odds for Sweden`s national team, including three European Championships and one World Championship.
