Salah proved to be too much bite for Van Dyke and company
Liverpool recorded a fourth consecutive win in all of the tournaments via next soccer matches and ended his failed series against Southampton after defeating the `saints` 3: 0 at Anfield. Above all was Mohamed Salah (31 u0026 039; 41 u0026 039) who scored two goals and already has 14 hits for Merseyside since the start of the season. Philippe Coutinho (68 u0026 039) formed the classics.
For the first time this season, Liverpool has won three consecutive wins in Premier League. For Southampton this is the first loss in the last six against between these two teams in all the tournaments. Philippe Coettinho, Jordan Henderson and Deyan Lovren returned to the starting lineup of Juergen Klop. Trent Alexander-Arnold was preferred to Joe Gomez. Sadio Mane, who was finally in question, was also the Deputy of Merseyside.
Wesley Hut and Shane Long started for Southampton at the expense of Maya Yoshida and Manolo Gabidiini. Virginie Van Dijk, who was Kloop`s main transfer goal in the summer, is set in the center of defense of the saints.
In the tenth minute, Salah failed to take advantage of a great misunderstanding between Van Dyke, Foster and Soares. The ball was given to the Egyptian, but he could not direct it to the door with his left foot. Shortly after, Salah detected Mane`s air centering, but the ball went again. In the middle of the half-time, Foster had to intervene twice after a long distance from Wainlund and Kouttinho. In both cases, Southampton`s guards intervened well.
In the 31st minute Tadic was unable to take the ball after a corner in front of the guests` door. Firmino took it, Clan and Weindaldum combined, and finally the ball came to Salah, who scored with a terrible shot from the border of the penalty area sent the ball to the far corner. That was his 13th goal since the season. Ten minutes later, the Egyptian also scored 14. Coutinho took him very well behind the defense, with a pass on the ground, and Salah pushed the ball between Forster`s legs - 2: 0.
In the 55th minute, Firmino missed the lead of Liverpool classically after finding a great pass from Alexander-Arnold. But Foster did well and saved the Brazilian strike. Kurtinho`s shot in the 63rd minute went centimeters aside from the goal. Five minutes later, however, the Brazilian scored. Forster struck Firmino, but the ball came to Kutinho, who made a 3-0 hard blow. It was his last action today. After the fall, Kouttinho was replaced by Zhang.
By the end Firmino missed another good opportunity. Liverpool is fifth in the standings with 22 points - one behind Tottenham. Southampton is 14th.
